It's always so fascinating to work with student film makers. I love watching them think, analyze, and grow as we work together to tell a story. The best part about working with students, especially SCAD students, is how utterly collaborative they are with their actors. I adored working with Zach Thomas, Robyn Hicks, and E'Lon Washington among others. Can't wait to show the world my dark side.
I am just giddy with the recent changes in my life. Acting is slowly and surely saturating every aspect of my life. I couldn't be happier that I have joined the staff at Kristen Shaw Acting Studio. I have studied and coached with Kristen for almost three years. I respect her and learn from her every day. Joining her team seems like an exciting evolution in my continued journey as an artist. I am very grateful for my new "day job" as the Social Media Ninja at KSAS.
Cooking class, zip lining, fireside cocktails, boating, sunset cruises and first class meeting facilities; Lake Lanier Island Resort has it all. Thank you Remedy Films for sharing this jewel of North Georgia with the world! Can't wait to see the final commercial to air locally soon!
In June, I started working in the Ben Taylor Workshop in Alpharetta, Georgia. Every week, Ben provides us with scripts that he or another artist in class wrote. Many are written specifically for actors in the class. We rehearse briefly then take turns bringing stories to life. Ben tapes the scene and provides feedback every week. This has been a delightful adventure. I feel like I have grown watch other's perform, absorb Ben's guidance and feedback, and adapt their work. It's been inspirational and fun!
You can check out a scene that I did in class. I play the role of proud dreamer who wants to hold on to the love of her life, her daughter.
I am thrilled to announce that I've joined the cast of Blood Ridge. I play to role of Shannon. Shannon recently lost her husband and is struggling to keep her life and her only son on the straight and narrow. The feature film will be directed by Ben Klecan and was written by Patrick Ian Rooks. Filming will begin in mid-July 2014. Check out the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bloodridge
I am cackling up a storm this summer! There is just so much fun to be had: morning swim team practice and meets, training for my winter marathon-and-a-half, more yoga, family dates, library trips, Braves games, and summer movies. My work in my six week workshop with Ben Taylor and my ongoing work with Kristen Shaw is just amazingly delicious! I am loving hanging with my favorite people and exploring bold acting choices. How can it get any better than this? Let's find out!
